CAROL WALLACE
SECRETARY & FUNDRAISING CHAIR
After spending more than two decades commuting to Washington, D.C., Carol appreciates the opportunity God has provided for her to work with nonprofits in Prince William County. Over the last two years, she has chaired successful fundraising events for local schools and charitable organizations. As a Board Member with Women + Walking in God’s Spirt, Carol looks forward to engaging our youth in a variety of service opportunities as a way to deepen the understanding of Christ’s call for us to serve fully and humbly.
A native of Morgantown, West Virginia, and a 1992 graduate of West Virginia University (WVU), Carol went right to work on Capitol Hill in the office of U.S. Senator Robert C. Byrd. She spent the next 18 years helping him serve his constituents by managing a variety of business and infrastructure initiatives, working with local and state officials on regulatory issues, identifying grant and competitive funding opportunities, monitoring federal disaster relief response, and helping to advance myriad appropriations initiatives. Following his passing in 2010, her career continued as Projects Director for Senator Joe Manchin III and Congressman Nick J. Rahall II where she helped further business and economic development opportunities in her home state.
Carol is married to Rob Wallace, also a graduate of WVU. They have two children, Addison and Grant, and they live in Gainesville, Virginia. They enjoy spending time together as a family, attending WVU sporting events, and supporting their kids in their church, school, and athletic activities.
